Inspired by the HBO Series Gentleman Jack, Pat transformed a personal passion into a worldwide gathering that brings together historians, authors, performers, and visitors from across the globe to celebrate one of history’s most remarkable LGBTQ+ pioneers. Today, Anne Lister Birthday Week is a cornerstone of Halifax’s annual Anne Lister Festival and has helped create a vibrant international community connected by history, inclusion, and pride.
